A string of graffiti damage that has cost Bristol City Council thousands of pounds to repair is being investigated by police. Avon and Somerset Police has launched an appeal to identify a group of people following the spate of vandalism that has "blighted" the Bear Pit roundabout.
Police say that between January 11 and January 23, and then again on February 4, a group of teenagers could be seen graffitiing walls at the Bear Pit, also known as St James Barton Roundabout. Investigating officers have released images of people they would like to speak to in connection with the criminal damage.
Inspector Richard Jones said: “Criminal damage is a mindless act and we will pursue offenders. There is a big difference between legal street art which is designed to brighten and inspire a community, and illegal graffiti which only damages the area.
