
The much-anticipated India–Pakistan clash, scheduled for February 15, will not take place after the Pakistan government announced that it would not allow its national team to take the field against India. The rest of Pakistan’s fixtures in the tournament, which begins on February 7, will go ahead as planned.
Speaking on the issue, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla said the Indian board would refrain from making further comments until it formally discusses the matter with the ICC.
