"Heavy snow" could fall in parts of Wales next week as temperatures are expected to drop across the country. According to the BBC weather service several areas of the country will see snow and sleet with miniumum temperatures of -2°C expected in parts. Fresh and breezy winds are often likely, becoming stronger at times with a risk of gales."
After the cold spell before Christmas where Wales recorded it's coldest day on record, the temperatures had been mild for the start of 2023 but look set to drop drastically at the start of next week from double digits in parts to minus temperatures.

"A temporary spell of milder conditions is possible across the south midweek, however by the end of the week, most areas should see a return to below average temperatures. These cooler conditions are likely to allow the wintry showers to return, bringing an increasing likelihood of snow across northern regions down to lower levels.
