Top of the Pops dominated TV for decades, as people across the UK tuned in to see who was at the top of the music charts that week. Running from 1964, the show is now aired every Christmas, and repeats are shown on BBC Two.
Over the years the show had many well-known presenters from the notorious Jimmy Savile to the stars of today like Fearne Cotton and Zoe Ball. Many have continued their career presenting and remained in the media after their stint on the show.
