The One Show viewers were left slightly baffled as Louis Tomlinson made a very laid back appearance on the programme. The former One Direction star joined Alex Jones and Ronan Keating live in the BBC One studio on Wednesday night (September 7).
He was on the show to talk about his recent world tour dates, new single and upcoming album. Louis' second album Faith In The Future, will be released in November and follows his recently released single Bigger Than Me, which he performed for the first time on stage as he completed his mammoth tour.
But former Boyzone star Ronan couldn't help but have a cheeky dig as he welcomed Louis onto the show. Ronan said while looking at the cameras: "Let's say hello to our guest. He was one-fifth of the mighty One Direction." He then jokingly added: "Arguably the second-best boyband of all time... I'm going to get in trouble for that one.

"He's just completed a world tour and, tonight, he's here to talk about his new music." They didn't dwell on his boyband comment as Ronan went straight in to ask Louis how his tour went, to which the star replied: "Incredible. I feel like I've been working towards that moment for a long time and this feeling that I'm feeling now has definitely been the best professional year I've had in a long time or across my whole career. It's been amazing."
The 30-year-old singer also said he will be “expecting a few texts” from his former One Direction bandmates when his new album comes out later this year after he was asked if the band still show support each other as they continue to carve successful solo careers.
"In terms of every single, probably not, but once the album comes out I’ll be expecting a few texts definitely," he said in response to Alex. On the different paths that One Direction had taken since their separation, he continued: “I think all of us have embraced what we love musically and I think that was what was interesting about One Direction – we did all have different tastes musically. But this is the kind of stuff I grew up with, so to be doing now what I love definitely makes me proud."
Louis took questions from fans, including one who asked if he'd be playing guitar at his future shows. Louis said he was up for the challenge and that he just needed to have the confidence to wield the strings.
However, those tuning in to The One Shoq were left questioning Louis's appearance. @see75 tweeted: "Louis looks bored?! #TheOneShow." @alab2814 said: "@Louis_Tomlinson on #TheOneShow really needs to show more enthusiasm towards the questions he seems bored."
@MTBees shared: "If Louis Tomlinson looked anymore p****d off, his chin would hit the floor." @mayassaturdays commented: "Poor louis looks a bit bored."
