BBC The One Show's Alex Jones struggles to contain laughter at Martin Clunes' savage dig

The One Show's Alex Jones and Harry Judd were forced to hide their laughter during Tuesday's (December 20) edition of the BBC magazine show. The presenting duo almost cracked when their guest, actor Martin Clunes took a swipe at the USA. He appeared on the sofa to discuss the conclusion of ITV's Doc Martin, which will air its final episode over the festive period.

The funny moment came when Harry asked Martin about the topic of ear cropping on dogs: "We know you're a dog lover, what did you think of that?" To which he replied: "I didn't know it was catching on over here. I've seen it in less developed countries like America and places but I think it's pretty hideous isn't it".

As the presenters struggled to hold back laughter, Martin continued with a message for dog owners: "If you want to be macho do something else don't use an animal. I think it just reflects poorly on the owners." You can get more TV news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
