BBC flagship show The One Show has been axed from the BBC One schedule on Friday, May 5. The programme is normally hosted by Welsh TV presenter Alex Jones and different co-presenters including Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating.
The One Show will not be airing on BBC One on Friday, May 5 and instead will be replaced by HM The King's Coronation: The Eve of the Coronation which is a documentary hosted by Kirsty Young about King Charles III. Kirsty Young is joined by a range of guests who give personal insights into the King and Queen Consort as they look ahead to the coronation.
Sophie Raworth joins from outside Westminster Abbey, while JJ Chalmers speaks to members of the armed forces as they prepare for one of the biggest military parades in British living memory. The One Show will also be missing from the TV schedule on Monday, May 8 when Eurovision Welcomes The World will be shown.
The hour-long show will see Rylan and Sunetra Sarker kick off Eurovision with highlights from this year's Turquoise Carpet welcome event, as the performers arrive in Liverpool.
The One Show will be back on Tuesday, May 9 with a special show called The One Show at Eurovision, airing at 7pm on BBC One. Alex Jones and Ronan Keating will present live from Liverpool ahead of the first Eurovision semi-final.
There are other TV changes over the King's coronation weekend with Channel 4 airing alternative programmes to the coverage of the coronation, while the coronation will dominate the BBC and ITV channels.
