Kaye Adams has broken her silence on social media after becoming the first contestant to leave the 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing. The Loose Women panellist was voted off the show with professional partner Kai Widdrington following the dreaded dance off.
Kaye and Kai went head to head with Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova, who were ultimately saved by the judges. Head judge Shirley Ballas later told she would have opted to save Kaye and Kai but was overruled but the panel after Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood choose to save Matt and Nadiya.
Speaking to presenter Tess Daly after the dance off, Kaye said: "Do you know what, it was the right result, and you know, I'm delighted for Matt and Nadiya," gesturing to Kai, she added: "The only person I'm sorry for is the wonderful man who has just been so amazing."

And later, in an Instagram post, Kaye revealed she was "kicking herself" as she thanked the competition and those who were part of it. She said: "Well it was a much shorter journey than I'd hoped for but a journey all the same!
"While right now I'm kicking myself for not having performed as well as I could have, at the same time I do feel proud for having jumped in with two left feet into something a couple of years ago I would have run the other mile from."
She continued: "I'll be talking more about my experience on @bbcstrictly It Takes Two tomorrow and on the How To Be 60 podcast when I've had more time to process it all, but right now I want to say a massive thank you to the whole Strictly family - the pro dancers, my fellow performers and the whole production crew - but most of all to @kaiwidd.
"You were an absolute gent the whole way through and made me realise that my two left feet could be turned into dancing ones. I'm just sorry we didn't get to dance together longer. And with that to all my amazing fellow Strictly dancers, there's only thing left to say.... Keep Dancing!!!!"
Kaye also shared a rather awkward encounter she had with a fan after being eliminated. Taking to Twitter, she shared: "Just ordered room service in my hotel. The nice lady who brought it asked me ‘any idea who went out of @bbcstrictly tonight.?’ I said 'me' awkward silence."
