Strictly Come Dancing was back with a devilish bang on Saturday night as the dance contest returned with its annual Halloween special. With days to go until the spookiest day of the year, the BBC One show was celebrating in its usual extravagant style.
The 11 remaining couples all dressed up for the occasion, kicking off with Tony Adams dressed as the devil, followed by Will Mellor as a mummy - and even the judges got in on the action.
"Hello, welcome to our Halloween special. Tonight our 11 couples will be delivering an array of tricks and treats on the dancefloor," Tess Dally said. Co-host Claudia continued: "So for the last three weeks a couple from the middle of the leaderboard has been in the dance-off. It really is a dangerous place to be," before getting a chorus of 'oos' from the live audience.

The pair then introduced the judges who were almost unrecognisable. Craig Revel-Horwood strutted down the stairs as Morticia Addams while head judge Shirley Ballas emerged as another Addams Family character, Gomez Addams. Motsi also looked sensational in a skeleton-inspired outfit with jewels covering one half of her face but Anton Du Beke went for a different costume, appearing as a long-haired pirate.
Claudia and Tess, however, appeared to stand out due to their lack of scary costumes - but looked gorgeous nonetheless. Claudia donned a mini black dress with a high neck, long sleeves and draped detailing. The 50-year-old did add a pop of colour, however, opting to don some neon green heels.
Tess, 53, also opted for a black velvet number with off-the-shoulder and ruched detailing. And adding a touch of Strictly glitz, the presenter donned a pair of sparkling, knee-high boots. And it was the footwear that got all the attention with some Strictly viewers saying they 'needed' the fashion statement for themselves.
@CyclingLain tweeted: "OMG, JUST SEEN TESS’ BOOTS……….I WANT THEM SO MUCH….#Strictly." @Charlottemorg echoed: "I want Tess Daly’s sparkly boots! #Strictly." @HelenTweeter wrote: "Tess’s glittery boots are a thing of beauty #FashionWatch #Strictly." @see75 commented: "Claud and Tess looking good in black! How amazing are Tess’s sparkly boots?! I need them in my life!!! #strictly."
@imelda6128 postd: "Tess - tell me where those boots come from. I HAVE to have them #Strictly." @meganpsitn shared: "I need Tess's boots. Love them. #Strictly." @VicTheMac added: "I'm SERIOUSLY in envy of Tess's outfit tonight. The boots #Strictly."
But some were a bit unsure. @cpsouthon said: "Liking Tess’s boots. Not sure they suit the dress #Strictly." @KirstyAPalmer posted: "Tess’ boots do not go with that dress. Both are separately fabulous but bad together. Although frankly no one can compete with Craig-Morticia. #Strictly."
@TheWeeFudgeCo shared: "Who dressed Tess tonight…..great boots, great dress….but together? #Strictly." @heavenstobetsie wrote: "Tess's boots do not go with her dress. Girl goes on Drag Race once and gets ideas #Strictly." @Scotthopper1 added: "Who on earth put that dress with those boots on Tess! Certainly must be Halloween #strictly."
