It has been a rollercoaster of a journey but now the adventure has come to an end.
Viewers favourite, Rose Ayling-Ellis has paid a heartfelt tribute to BBC Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni Pernice, summing up the experience as "life changing" and adding "what a crazy ride".
Rose shared the message on her Instagram account alongside a snap of herself with Giovanni.
The post, appeared on social media on Monday, February 14, and came after Italian pro Gio confirmed the "end" of their journey, reported Birmingham Mail.
While Giovanni said it was the end the BBC Strictly journey he added it was the "beginning of an eternal friendship."
The Strictly live arena tour concluded on Sunday February 13, meaning the pair now face never dancing together ever again, so it was an opportune moment for the BBC EastEnders actress to pay tribute to her dancing partner.
She wrote: “Six months ago, I didn’t have a clue what I signed up for and to be honest I was terrified.
“Now, I know for sure that it was the best decision I have ever made, what a crazy ride and life-changing experience it has been.”
The post continued: “@giovannipernice, I am so grateful that you were part of my Strictly journey. Thank you for telling my story and showing everyone who I am. Our friendship is so special and lasting for sure,” she continued.
“Thank you to everyone who supported us, it has blown me away, you are the reason we got this far and made such an impact not just from dancing.
“Without you all, it would not have been possible.”
“I feel myself heading off to new adventures and I can’t wait to see what happen next. But I will never forget everything that Strictly has given me,” added Rose.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Rose was the first deaf dancer on the show and went on to be crowned the winner of the 2021 BBC Strictly series.
