BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Janette Manrara reveals show future decision on ITV This Morning

Janette Manrara has addressed her Strictly Come Dancing future during an appearance on This Morning.

The professional dancer turned presenter was on the ITV daytime show to chat to Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes about the Strictly live tour.

Janette is currently out on the road with her fellow stars of the BBC One dance contest as they take all the glitz and glam to arenas across the country.

Strictly's 2021 stars Rose Ayling-Ellis, Sara Davies, John Whaite, Rhys Stephenson, and Tilly Ramsay, as well as 2020 alumni Max George and Maisie Smith are all part of the show as is the hit programme's professional dancers.

Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli are also taking their seats on the judging panel to cast their verdicts in front of a live audience.

And after swapping the Ballroom for presenting Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, Janette has been given the role of hosting the string of live shows.

Appearing on This Morning, Janette was asked by Phillip how it was stopping dancing to move into a presenter role. "The dancing was hard," she replied.

"Obviously, I'm going to 'keeeep dancing' as they say. That's never going to go away.

"But I felt right at home on It Takes Two. I remember my make-up artist, Summer, when I was just about to go off for my first show, she was like, 'You don't look nervous at all'.

"And I was like, you know what... I'm not. I'm more excited to sit down chat with my mates about dancing and a show that I'm obsessed with anyway."

SWhe added: "I just felt right at home. Rylan [Clark - who she shared hosting duties with] - and the whole team at It Takes Two just made it so smooth and easy for me and made me feel so welcome.

"So it was amazing. I loved every single show."

Janette also mentioned how her predecessor Zoe Ball was "so supportive" as she took over the role on It Takes Two and would message her throughout.

She then added: "I do want to get into presenting," leading to Phil asking: "And is that what you want to do?"

"Yeah, I want to keep presenting," Janette said. "I want to keep dancing. I don't think that's ever not going to be a part of my life..."

Phillip then asked whether she'd go back to being a professional dancer on Strictly.

Janette will be back dancing with husband Aljaz (Darren Quinton/Birmingham Live)

"No, I don't think so now," the 38-year-old said. "It Takes Two is my new home and I'm very happy there."

Janette, however, will be back performing on stage soon alongside her husband, fellow Strictly star Aljaž Škorjanec.

The couple will head out on their Remembering the Oscars tour in March after it was cancelled twice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
