BBC Strictly Come Dancing mics pick up Hamza's 'heartbreaking' apology to Jowita

Strictly Come Dancing's Hamza Yassin appeared to apologise to his partner Jowita Przystal following his performance.

The Strictly audience chanted wildlife cameraman Hamza's name after his tango with professional partner Jowita to Wicked Game by Chris Isaak. Hamza, who was dressed as a king and collapsed to the ground at the end of the routine, said it was a difficult week "without smiling".

Judge Motsi Mabuse said: "Hamza, you're always a treat. The way you're able to move your spine and shift from one leg to the other makes you outstanding."

Head judge Shirley Ballas said: "You are definitely a dream team. It was very complicated choreography. You are an absolute king and a scholar."

Meanwhile, Anton Du Beke was booed by the audience for his comments which included: "You are a really accomplished ballroom dancer... Today, not your best."

Craig Revel Horwood added that it was a "strong and confident" performance. But despite scoring 33, Hamza appeared to apologise to his dance partner. According to the M.E.N, as they embraced, the 32-year-old whispered: "I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry."

But Jowita didn't seem to think he needed to as she said: "Well done." Some viewers picked up on his apology, with one Twitter user @SCDJOWITA writing: "Heartbroken to hear hamza say 'im sorry' to jowita at the end. He’s so hard on himself every week but he shines on the dance floor so much."
