Strictly Come Dancing fans were left a little bit disgruntled as they waited for the winner to be revealed. It was a spectacular evening in the ballroom as the four finalists went head-to-head for the Glitterball trophy.
Helen Skelton, Hamza Yassin, Fleur East and Molly Rainford all made it to the final of the BBC One dance competition alongside their professional partners - Gorka Marquez, Jowita Przystal, Vito Coppola and Carlos Gu.
Each couple performed three dances each - a judge's pick, their favourite routine and a show dance - as they fought for the Strictly 2022 title.
After the three advisory scores were given by the judges, Fleur and Vito were top of the leaderboard with 119 points, with Helen and Gorka coming second on 116 points. Molly and Carol received a total of 115 points, and Yassin and Przystal came bottom on 113 points.
But the public vote ultimately decided who lifted the coveted glitterball trophy for 2022 - and that was wildlife cameraman Hamza and his dance partner Jowita.
After being announced as the winner, Hamza, 32 said: "It's hard to describe how I feel..." before turning to his dance partner. " I want to thank one person in particular... Jowita you are an angel disguised as a human being."
The Animal Park star continued to say: "Thank you to everyone who voted for me. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me." And after Jowita reacted to their win, Hamza then shared some advice he was given previously with Strictly viewers.
He told people to "surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when you enter room", and said "the top of one mountain is the bottom of the next so keep climbing" before also adding that "slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be".
Prior to Hamza and Jowita's win being announced, Strictly fans were treated to a performance from Florence + the Machine. Florence performed My Love from her latest album Dance Fever but it was quickly hit with complaints from viewers.
@wendy_firmin tweeted: "@bbcstrictly fantastic show but once again the quality of the sound of the performing group is rubbish! Why don't you learn? Florence and the whispering machine." @iseemagpies complained: "What a waste to have Florence on #Strictly and not have her mic working properly."
@hugzee posted: "Could someone turn Florence's mic up a touch? #Strictly." @caroc54 asked: "Why does Florence sound like she's in a different studio? #Strictly #StrictlyFinal." @KevGeo2011 added: "Has something happened the sound why does Florence sound far away #Strictly."
