Strictly Come Dancing fans are finally getting their latest fix of ballroom action after the show was delayed again. The BBC One dance contest usually airs in a primetime Saturday night slot but due to coverage of the World Cup, viewers have had their weekly viewing disrupted.
Instead, the crucial semi-final, where it will be decided who makes it to the grand final of the 2022 edition of the competition, is airing on Sunday night (December 11) in a Strictly first with the results show, which is filmed the same night but usually airs on a Sunday, airing on Monday night (December 13) instead.
Fans will watch as Molly Rainford, Hamza Yassin, Helen Skelton, Fleur East and Will Mellor perform two routines in the hope of impressing the judges and viewers at home to earn themselves a place in next weekend's final alongside their professional dance partners.
The penultimate show will see Hits Radio host Fleur and partner Vito Coppola will beform a Charleston to 'Tu Vuo' Fa L'Americano' by Fiorello and a Paso Doble to 'The time Is now' by Moloko while actor Will and Nancy Xu will also perform a Paso Doble to 'Uccen', a DWTS Remix by Taalbi Brothers, DWTS as well as their Couple's Choice to a medley of hits - 'Know How' / 'Fools Gold' / 'Step On' by Young MC / The Stone Roses / Happy Mondays.
Following their near-perfect Couple's Choice last weekend, Countryfile host Helen and partner Gorka Marquez will go back out onto the floor with an Argentine Tango to 'Here Comes the Rain Again' by Eurythmics and a Waltz to 'Only One Road' by Celine Dion while Hamza and Jowita Przystal will peform a Charleston to 'Pencil Full of Lead' by Paolo Nutini and a Waltz to 'What The World Needs Now' by Burt Bacharach.
And last, but by no means least following their third stint in the dreaded dance-off last weekend, singer and CBBC star Molly and Carlos Gu will dance a Paso Doble to 'Survivor' by 2WEI featuring Edda Hayes and 'Easy On Me' by Adele.
But as fans tuned into the show on Sunday night, they joked that it felt 'illegal' to be watching it and spotted the same issue with the change to the schedule. @emrobros said: "Putting #Strictly on a school night should be ILLEGAL," before adding: "And the semi-final to boot!!! I hate football so much."
@aimziles44 shared: "#Strictly is on tonight.. my days are thrown completely, with it being a school night But I'm looking forward to it, 2 lots of dances tonight, should be amazing!" @LalOctavia wrote: "I've got the Sunday Sulks and can't be bothered either. Ain't right, #Strictly Main Show on a Sunday, straight after a Masterchef finale. Wrong on many levels." @sustainablist1 added: "It confused me enough when #strictly was on Friday. That put me out for a day. Sunday? That will put me out all week!"
