It has not been a good evening for Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe. The pair performed a Rumba to Heart power ballad 'Alone' on Saturday’s instalment of the BBC competition but sadly, it failed to impress judges Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel-Horwood. They gave the dance a score of five and three. Despite awarding Ellie seven points, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke were not as impressed as they have been in recent weeks, either.
After receiving her scores, Ellie appeared to be visibly upset and buried her head in her dance partner's shoulders. “I’m just so sorry they didn’t like it,” she told Johannes and he comforted her.
Ellie said that she struggled with the Rumba due to it being “emotional and “serious”, adding that she finds it “hard to take myself seriously”. Viewers shared their thoughts on the dance on social media.

One person disagreed with the judges' comments and said: "Disgraceful marking of ellie , felt so sorry for the girl , destroyed her confidence completely, just no need." A second agreed: "I cannot believe Craig gave Ellie and Johannes a 3 but with all his mistakes he gave Tyler a 7."
Elsewhere, someone commented: "Poor Ellie, you could see she put sooo much into that dance. Undermarked in my opinion!!" And a fourth person suggested the judges were wrong, saying: "@bbcstrictly you see @ShirleyBallas @CraigRevHorwood this is where it all falls down and makes everyone question the authenticity of marking on this show .. 3 and 5 for Ellie and 7s for Tyler.. shameful, shabby and dishonest!!"
