BBC aired a sweet interaction between Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin following their dance on Saturday, November 5. The duo performed a Charleston on this week's BBC show.
Finishing the lively performance, Ellie hugged Nikita and turned to him ahead of the judges' comments. The Paralympian, 27, was caught asking him: "Was that okay?," seeking reassurance.
Nikita turned back to her and nodded and the pair headed over to judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, who gave them positive remarks. Ultimately, the pair achieved their best score of the competition - 33 out of 40. Despite this, they still found themselves in the middle of the leaderboard.
Birmingham Live reports how Motsi told Ellie that her dance was "another level". But she did pick up on a slip-up towards the end of the dance. Meanwhile, head judge Shirley said: "You are not going to give up, no matter what. You didn't miss a beat. It had the wow factor, you trusted your partner... that end lift there!"
But will Ellie and Nikita be heading to Blackpool next week? Strictly Come Dancing's results show airs at 7.15pm on BBC One on Sunday, November 6. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
