BBC star Paul Martin leaves channel to host new Channel 5 antiques show

A daytime star has left the BBC for a rival company. Paul Martin, known for Flog It!, Trust Me I'm A Dealer, Paul Martin's Handmade Revolution, Street Auction, Make Me A Dealer and Curiosity, is leaving the BBC to take on a new role at Channel 5.

The presenter is set to air Antiques Showdown on the channel, which is a new antiques programme, reports Birmingham Live. Paul said: "I was very privileged and honoured to be asked by Channel 5 to front an exciting new antiques programme for them.

"It's very exciting. We have a valuation day in a historic building somewhere around the UK."
