A host of South Ayrshire locations were in the spotlight this week for the new series of Shetland.
Ayr train station, Prestwick Airport and Ayr beach were used for the gripping BBC crime drama set on the starring Douglas Henshall as DI Jimmy Perez, now in its seventh series.
And the famous Scots TV cop was in town for a scene filmed at the entrance to Prestwick Airport which was acting as Glasgow Airport for the show.
Wednesday night's episode saw ex-cop Danny (played by Andrew Whipp) head to Ayr in search of answers for his missing son a graphic novelist, Connor.
The scene follows Danny as he arrives into the town's station but eagle eyed viewers might be quick to notice that the side entrance was used instead of the main 'temporary' entrance to the station, still in place due to the problem Station Hotel next door.
Later in the episode Danny has a showdown with gangster Matty Walker backing on to a windswept Ayr beach with Carrick Hills spotted in the backdrop of the tense scene.
The final Ayrshire scene sees Danny and DI Perez discuss the ex-cop's chequered past at Prestwick Airport, with the outside of Glasgow Airport shown before the familiar main check-in point at Prestwick Airport appears.
It's not the first time crews have come to South Ayrshire to film.
Last month, Ayrshire Live told how a huge Bollywood production used Ayr's port to shoot an action packed car chase scene with gunfire heard throughout filming on the set.
We also told how blockbuster Tehran took over the docks scaring off local wildfire.
And Ayrshire's airport was also used back in 2016 for another Bollywood hit Tum Bit 2 as Prestwick Airport welcomed an all star cast.
