The Traitors aired a huge twist tonight - as two axed contestants made a return to the show a week after they were sent home.
At the start of the new BBC series, Claudia Winkleman gathered the contestants outside the castle and asked them to rank themselves on who was most likely to win the show and who was most likely to lose.
Amos, 30, a doctor from north London, and Kieran, 42, a solutions consultant from Hertfordshire, said they were most likely to lose and what seemed like a friendly task suddenly took a huge turn, leaving everyone in shock.
"Every decision you make has a consequence. Every single one. So, you two, you think you’re going to lose," Claudia told them, "I’m going to take you at your word. So, I’m afraid it’s goodbye. I’d like you to leave the grounds immediately."
Both of them were stunned by the brutality as Kieran said he was "completely and utterly devastated", whilst Amos confessed said he also found it "difficult". However, there was a shock return tonight as the BBC show contestants were left reeling when Amos and Kieran revealed they had never been sent home and were amongst them the whole time.
Both Kieran and Amos - who had been kept away from the game and in a separate room - returned into the group as faithfuls, as they shared their thoughts on who they thought were faithful - and who they thought were traitors.
In the first episode, Claudia chose her three Traitors as 54-year-old estate agent Amanda, 28-year-old senior fundraiser Wilfred and 21-year-old business student Alyssa. The other contestants are all faithfuls.
It's been a week of huge revelations on the BBC show, as yesterday Tom confirmed he and Alex were dating, leaving everyone reeling.
Normally, each night the Traitors meet and kill off one of the others, but at the end of the previous episode, they were told they would be putting three of the contestants on trial and then they would 'murder' one of them that evening.
As Claudia arrived to tell them the news about Alex, Ivan and John going on trial, anger and fury broke out amongst the group before Tom stood up and had a big confession to tell the rest of the contestants.
"Guys guys, straight up. This is a lot. And obviously, we've got three people on the line. I'll be honest - love you all. Alex is not a traitor, straight up, she is my girlfriend," he said as the others were stunned into silence, "We came to find traitors, but we came separate with individual stories," he continued as the other contestants looked on completely shocked.
As one of the other contestants remarked to Matt that they thought he was going to get with Alex, he just looked on shocked by it all and later broke down in tears over what was revealed.
