BBC The Responder's creator has teased fans ahead of a new season.
The writer of the hit BBC police drama has promised viewers are "in for a treat" in season two. The show, which made its debut in January 2022, is due to return for another series later this year.
It stars Martin Freeman as a Liverpool police officer on the edge - created by Tony Schumacher, who is a former police officer himself.

To mark the programme's one year anniversary, Tony posted to Twitter "tormenting" his fans. He teased what was to come as he said: "Happy #TheResponder day!
"It's weird, and I don't want to torment you, but having spent the day sitting in a room with the great team at Dancing Ledge Productions and Martin reading first episode of season 2, well, all I can say is I think you're in for a treat..."
The last episode of the series ended as Chris and his partner, Rachel Hargreaves, drove away in the police car to take on another gruelling shift. The open-ended finale left viewers hopeful there would be another series of the programme - and BBC bosses have since confirmed the exciting news.
Fans have been delighted with the news of the show's return. Jake said: "Can’t wait to see it Tony! Season 1 was a triumph."
Alexis said: "Omg this is awesome news to wake up to!" Claire said: "Oh brilliant news - series one was outstanding - I barely took a breath all the way through it!"
