BBC viewers are calling for Huw Edwards to be given some 'time off' after becoming concerned by his appearance on screen, in the days that have followed the Queen's death.
Huw was on air as news of Her Majesty's passing came in via a statement from Buckingham Palace, just after 6.30pm on Thursday, September 8. He had been on air for some time before the sad news came into the studio and looked choked up as he delivered the announcement to the nation on BBC One, before all BBC broadcasts were interrupted for the announcement in full and a playing of the national anthem.
Huw stayed on air in the immediate aftermath of the Queen's death, before being followed by main anchor by colleague Clive Myrie. Huw has since been on BBC for key moments over the past week, including Her Majesty's coffin's journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday, before a moving service attended by members of the Royal family.
