Gabby Logan prompted a lot of upset online with an announcement she made to viewers watching coverage of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday night.
Gabby has been at the helm of the BBC' s night time coverage of the Birmingham event for the past week, presenting the live action from the Alexander Stadium, when she's been joined in the studio by the likes of Jessica Ennis, Denise Lewis and Michael Johnson as sporting legends like Steve Cram and Paula Radcliffe have been doing the commentating.
There has been some exciting results in both the track and field over the past week, with plenty of medals for the Home Nations. Eilish McColgan, daughter of legendary runner Liz, took a memorable gold for Scotland in the 10,000 metres, while on the final days there were golds for the mens 4x100m team and Laura Muir in the 1500m.
The women's 4x400m relay squad also though they'd won gold, before news broke that they had been disqualified, due to a possible infringement on the first leg, with their appeal being to no avail.

And it was after a photo finish in the latter event that Gabby delivered the news that people at home were expecting, but still didn't want to hear, that it was the final athletics event of this year's Commonwealth Games.
Gabby confirmed the news in the closing moments of the live broadcast on BBC1, with a final glance of the medal table showed England just behind Australia on 166 medals, including 55 golds.
Reacting to the news that the relay was the final event before Monday's closing ceremony officially rounds things off, one upset fan took to Twitter to post: I don’t want these Commonwealth Games to end. Really loved every second of them."
Another tweeted: "How are we already at the end of the Commonwealth Games?!"
