BBC star Deborah James has posted an emotional health update confirming the sad news that she is now in hospice care and is surrounded by her family and friends.

The 40-year-old, who has been battling stage 4 bowel cancer for almost five years, shared the devastating update on Twitter.

Deborah said even though she has been battling cancer for quite a long time, it's not easy news to accept.
