BBC One’s Antiques Road Trip headed to Dumfries and Galloway to film an episode this week, with presenters searching for treasures at local stores.
Antiques expert Natasha Raskin Sharp visited Cobwebs Of Lockerbie on Tuesday, while Philip Serrelland visited Anchor Antiques in Kingholm Quay the following day.
John McAndrew, Anchor Antiques owner, said: “It was a very nice experience.
“I don’t know how they discovered our shop. It was a bit of a surprise, but it is great they decided to visit it as we have a large mix of items, from Victorian jewellery boxes to condiments sets and Tiffany lamps.
“We have a big collection of unusual things from the 1800s up to the present day.
“I met Philip Serrelland, which was a great experience.
“He bought three items, which he will put up for a bid later at the auction.”
Irene Henderson, Cobwebs Of Lockerbie owner, said: “I am always happy to be involved.
“It is good advertising for us and, being a charity, it also gives us the chance to help others.
“I have been on the show three times and this time it also went well. The whole team worked together hard to produce this.”
The antiques they chose range from typical items like household goods to one-of-a-kind finds that include historical artefacts.
