BBC Radio Manchester star sparks calls for him to join Strictly Come Dancing line-up for 2023

He's used to causing a stir when he he hits the town in Manchester in his array of showstopping outfits, and singer and radio presenter Jsky now has his eye on the Strictly dancefloor. BBC Radio Manchester's Jsky, real name Jason Warner, has had fans calling for him to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing line-up 2023.

Jsky, the host of the station's Dead Good Show, sent his followers into a frenzy when he recently shared a snap of himself with the BBC dance show's former pro dancer Aljaž Škorjanec at the Pride of Manchester awards. Jsky, who was a judge at the annual awards celebrating the achievements of astonishing Mancunians, wowed in shimmering metallic mini-dress of stars.

"When they ask, what would you wear if you ever did #strictly... #tensacrosstheboard @prideofbritain @bbcstrictly," he Instagrammed.

Jsky, who in 2019 was one of the body positive influencers wearing body paint to cover their modesty on the groundbreaking Channel Four reality show Naked Beach, received the thumbs-up from the show's body paint artist Emma Cammack who declared: "I would DIE to see you on Strictly!!"

Jsky, who helped willing participants to gain the confidence to strip naked in Greece on the show, said: "Maybe if they let me book you to bodypaint me one week, naked beach style." And she replied: "Wouldn’t that be awesome!!!"

Jsky, who also presents on LGBTQ+ station Gaydio, was also told by R.A.B with applause emojis: "You should absolutely do strictly!" Rebecca Hartley applauded: "You never fail to deliver on the outfits! Spectacular! X" And Angela Hall said: "You got the legs."

Last year Jsky performed the main stage at Manchester Pride and was selected to carry The Queen's Baton in July on its journey across the Commonwealth. Jsky became the first person to perform this feat in heels and the fashionista carried the symbolic baton at MediaCityUK in Salford.

He was chosen to represent the north west of England for his contribution to the arts, charity and for inspiring through fashion and the media. He said he wanted to show the "power of femininity" and raise "pride visibility" during the proud moment.

He ran from the Lowry Theatre to the BBC at Quay House in a pair of strappy white high heels. Cheered on by his proud mum he became the first to ever participate in heels since the first Queen's Baton Relay in 1958.

In November he released a racy video for his single Legs to celebrate his best assets shot at Atlas Studios in Bolton. In the video a corset-wearing Jsky, also clad in black black Y-fronts, showed off his dance moves surrounded by topless models.

The LGBTQ+ star recorded the catwalk and club track in honour of his pins. Praise poured in from fans including RuPaul's Drag Race star Naomi Smalls who said: "You can't spell legendary without leggggggg...."
