British police have located the man suspected of killing the wife and two daughters of a BBC radio commentator near London. The suspect, 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, was found in the Enfield area of north London and is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

The victims were identified as Carol Hunt, the wife of the BBC commentator John Hunt, and their daughters Louise Hunt and Hannah Hunt. John Hunt is a well-known racing commentator for BBC 5 Live, covering events such as the Grand National and The Derby.

The tragic incident unfolded in Bushey, northwest of London, where the three women were found seriously injured in their home on Tuesday evening. Despite efforts from police and ambulance crews, the women were pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports suggest that Kyle Clifford, the suspect, may have been an ex-boyfriend of one of the daughters. Clifford, who left the British Army in 2022 after a brief period of service, was the subject of an intense manhunt in the Enfield area.

Local residents described the area where the killings occurred as a peaceful suburban neighborhood. The community was shocked by the police presence and the closure of Hilly Fields Park and Lavender Hill cemetery during the investigation.

The BBC expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, offering support to John Hunt and his family during this difficult time. The Home Office is considering potential changes to regulations regarding crossbows in light of the incident, as people in Britain do not require a license to own one but are prohibited from carrying them in public without a valid reason.

Authorities have urged Kyle Clifford to contact the police as the investigation into the killings continues. The new home secretary, Yvette Cooper, has been briefed on the situation and described it as truly shocking.
