BBC Radio 2 will announced the UK cities shortlisted to host Eurovision 2023 during its breakfast show on Friday morning. Several cities up and down the country are all set to take part in a competitive bidding process including Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and London.
Glasgow is currently the bookies' favourite to host the event. Any city with a bid in must meet a certain criteria including being within easy reach of an international airport and having enough hotel accommodation for at least 2,000 delegates, journalists and spectators.
It must also have a venue which can accommodate about 10,000 spectators. Ukraine won this year's contest, but due to the current war over there, the country is unable to hold the event next year.
