The rising stars of Belfast's bustling music scene are to be showcased in a special BBC Radio 1Xtra show, completed dedicated to emerging talent from Northern Ireland.
DJ Target is dedicating his entire show to Belfast on Tuesday night, April 12, celebrating local talent and getting to know more about the city’s unique and growing music scene.
BBC Radio 1Xtra will connect with artists and DJs in the area, and speak to special guests about the rising prominence of the city in the UK’s music scene.

The show will feature an interview with Belfast Producer, Connall Shaw, who at just 17 years old has produced for the likes of Big Sean and Hit Boy, and is currently working with American record producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter, Timbaland.
Speaking ahead of the show, DJ Target says: “I’m so excited to take the Touchdown Tour to Belfast. At 1Xtra, we’re all about finding and supporting the best new talent wherever they are in the UK. This tour is an amazing way for us to connect with the region and shine a spotlight on Belfast. Make sure you tune in tonight!”
The special show is part of BBC Radio 1Xtra’s UK Touchdown Tour which will see the station touchdown in a total of 22 different cities across April including; Belfast, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Bristol, Brighton, Edinburgh, and Liverpool.
For each show, BBC Radio 1Xtra will source tracks using BBC Music Introducing’s extensive network of local Introducing shows and feature the music of undiscovered and emerging artists from the city. Artists included in Belfast’s show tonight: HYFIN, Dena Anuska, Leo Miyage, God Knows and more.
