Iconic BBC TV presenter Harry Gration has today died at the age of 71.
The news was announced by the BBC earlier this evening, which said his passing was 'sudden'. The corporation made the tragic announcement by releasing a statement, YorkshireLive reports.
It said: "Our much loved friend and colleague Harry Gration died suddenly today.
"We are absolutely heartbroken to give you this news. Tonight our hearts go out to Harry's wife Helen, their children and all of Harry's family and friends."
They also made the announcement at the end of tonight's BBC Look North programme. Journalist Harry was one of the main presenters for BBC Yorkshire. He was originally a history teacher and then moved into TV.
Harry started with Look North in 1978 and spent more than 40 years there. He was also a regular presenter of the Huddersfield Examiner Business Awards.
