BBC Platinum Jubilee Pageant fans in hysterics as guest 'falls asleep' in Royal Box

Viewers following the Platinum Jubilee Pageant were in hysterics as a guest appeared to have fallen asleep.

The procession today brought an end to the celebrations to mark Queen Elizabeth II's 70 years on the throne. The parade as was led by Her Majesty's Gold State Coach and toured some of the most iconic streets in Westminster.

The pageant will finish outside Buckingham Palace, where Ed Sheeran will perform for the grand finale of the Jubilee celebrations. Coverage of the event was being broadcast on the BBC, who interviewed a range of celebrities to capture the jubilant mood of the day.

Thousands of people gathered on the streets of London to cheer on the parade. Prince Charles was also in attendance and watched on from the Royal Box.

However, viewers following the show on Twitter were in stiches when it appeared a member of the crowd sitting behind the Prince of Wales had fallen asleep.

Raymond said: "Wakey Wakey! Omg imagine when she wakes up and looks at her Twitter feed"

Jo commented: "Has anyone else noticed the woman asleep over Prince Charles’ shoulder?"

Erica added: "That poor woman behind Prince Charles, her eyes just won't stay open, will they?"

Kat posted : "Omg the woman fast asleep between Charles and now the camera man has moved the angle to block her out"

@hurts_uk tweeted: "The lady sleeping was the best bit! Who woke her."
