BBC One The Apprentice viewers 'fuming' after 'sexy' Joe Phillips fired

Fans were left "fuming" after "sexy" Joe Phillips became the latest contestant on The Apprentice to be fired by Lord Alan Sugar.

It would seem the self-proclaimed “James Bond of the business world” had become popular with viewers of the hit BBC One show. However, Lord Sugar was evidently less keen on the former South Africa Safari guide from Worcestershire.

Joe was among the bookies' favourites to win the entire show. But he failed to impress Lord Sugar during the latest task in Dubai.

On twitter, @TheJackEyePeas said: "Fuming over that boardroom result. First Gregory and now Joe, the wrong people keep getting fired."

@karljcompton complained: "NOOO not Joe. He’s too sexy to be fired."

@wherescarld0 agreed, tweeting: "Can’t believe he fired Sexy Joe. He was the only reason I was watching it."

@louvienne_ said: "Joe didn’t deserve to be fired. He was actually a good candidate."

Some viewers believed Joe got the boot after burning food during the Dubai task. @MattyDriscoll1 tweeted: "@Lord_Sugar was there more reasoning for why Joe got fired that wasn't shown on the show? Firing the bloke for burnt vegetables seemed a bit much."

@wavey1068 said: "Joe got fired for burnt food. It's not ****** MasterChef."

And @OllyBadger said: "Harsh on Joe being fired because he isn't a great chef. He's the only one that thought about the dietry requirements aswell."

Some viewers felt Rochelle should have been the one getting fired. @Becca_Jump said: "Joe shouldn't have been the one fired tonight, should have been Rochelle."

@randomtweets749 agreed tweeting: "Lord sugar slipping with these decisions this year please tell me how Joe got fired and Rochelle didn’t."
