The BBC has unveiled its 'beautiful' Christmas idents, a series of 40-second clips bringing a much-loved children's book to television screens. The videos feature characters from The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse which premiers on BBC One this Christmas.
Created exclusively for the broadcaster, the three clips show Charlie Mackesy's characters in day, dusk and night scenes. The first clip, which premiered on Friday, shows the boy as he shares a Christmas pudding with a mole in a snowy wood.
While the second shows the boy and the mole sitting in a tree at night. The fox and horse both join them on the snowy ground.
The final clip shows the boy and the mole riding on the horses back as they walk along the riverside. The fox is following behind them throughout the video.
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse will air a 32-minute episode on BBC One this Christmas. It chronicles a story of kindness, friendship, and courage, with heart-warming and hand-drawn characters.
The poignant and heartfelt journey follows the unlikely friendship of a boy, a mole, a fox and a horse travelling together in the boy’s search for home.
