BBC newsreader Lucy Owen has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery to save her eyesight.
She confirmed the successfully op has just taken place - but says she now won't be able to see for months.
As well as no visions for the rest of the summer, she must also sleep on her side after going under the knife.
