BBC MasterChef viewers divided as winner crowned

MasterChef came to a climax tonight as the final episode saw the last three contestants battle it out to be this year's champion. After seven weeks of competition, Eddie, Pookie and Radha each had to produce three dishes of the highest standard, deliver jaw-droppingly good food and push their culinary boundaries to the limit.

In the end, the 18th MasterChef Champion was Eddie. Radha and Pookie both fell short at the final hurdle despite putting together some truly amazing dishes.

Eddie's win left many viewers emotional, with one person tweeting: "Eddie is a very worthy Masterchef winner!" Another said: "Congratulations Eddie, my favourite from the start!"

However, some viewers were a little disgruntled that their favourite finalist didn't lift the trophy. Many felt that Pookie was 'robbed,' and took to Twitter to voice their disappointment. One said: "Pookie was robbed. Eddie was great, but Pookie was an unforgettable star talent. So disappointed." A second said: "In what world was Eddie better than Pookie? She made a cocktail in a flower for crying out loud."

A third said: "wrong decision! Pookie was the winner! Eddie crumbled in Ramsay’s kitchen last night!" A fourth person commented: "Aw Pookie should’ve won, so creative, bags of energy and food totally amazing."

Pookie has been a fan favourite ever since she joined the competition, and is loved by viewers for her bubbly personality and saying her dishes transport people to 'Pookie Land.'
