Respected ex-BBC Look North Journalist Harry Gration has died suddenly, it has been confirmed.
The BBC announced Mr Gration’s death today (Friday) and stated “we are absolutely heartbroken.”
In a tweet, they said: “Our much loved friend and colleague Harry Gration died suddenly today. We are absolutely heartbroken to give you this news.
“Tonight our hearts go out to Harry's wife Helen, their children and all of Harry's family and friends.”

Mr Gration, who was born in Bradford, began his broadcast career as rugby league commentator for the BBC while still working as a history teacher.
However, he joined the BBC full-time in 1978 and later became an anchor for regional news programme Look North.
He continued at the BBC until his last appearance on Look North, on October 21 .
