BBC Four and CBBC TV channels to close as broadcaster wields axe

BBC Four and CBBC will end as linear TV channels over the next few years as part of the latest round of cuts at the broadcaster.

Director-general Tim Davie announced to staff on Thursday that 1,000 jobs will also be lost across the public-funded part of the corporation.
