A BBC weather forecaster has apologised over a "technical glitch" on its services which showed the temperature to have plummeted as low as 7C across Europe.
Temperatures may have dropped slightly over the past few days due to a spell of unsettled weather, but nothing like what visitors to the broadcaster’s weather app and website found.
It comes as the Met Office says the country is on track to have the hottest June on record.
