BBC Escape to the Country buyer sends warning moments into £500,000 search

An Escape to the Country buyer issued a warning moments into her search.

Alistair Appleton hosted Tuesday's edition of the popular BBC property programme. The 53-year-old was helping Sarah relocate to the countryside as she aimed to find her dream home in Herefordshire.

Sarah hailed from Guernsey and was armed with a £500,000 budget to find the perfect detached house. She was accompanied by her friend, Roz, and was searching for a house with up to 3 bedrooms and a south facing garden.

Alistair expressed concern as he looked forward to the hunt. He said: "I do know that Herefordshire is very beautiful countryside. It's whether we can get the house to match Sarah's quite extensive wish list."

Sarah issued a word of warning to Alistair at the start of the search. She said: "I'm actually a bit impulsive. Get ready."

Alistair joked whether Roz was there to keep her grounded, which prompted her friend to send a sweet tribute. She said: "I just want her to be happy. If she's happy, I'm happy."

Sarah loved the final property on the search, which was a £475,000 home in Knighton, and told Alistair she arranged to go for a second viewing at the end of the episode.
