A new BBC drama starring Scots Line of Duty star Martin Compston is being filmed in Ayrshire.
Mayflies will be shot at locations across South Ayrshire over the next few weeks.
Film crews will descend on picturesque locations including Greenan Shore and Troon's Ballast Bank to start shooting scenes of the drama adapted from a book by author Andrew O'Hagan.
Ex-TV copper and Greenock-born Compston will star alongside Tony Curran and Ashley Jensen.
The story follows two best mates, Jimmy (Compston) and Tully (Curran), who reunite 30 years on from vowing 'to go at life differently'.
BBC bosses confirmed that filming will take place in Ayrshire and Glasgow this autumn.
Trailers have already been spotted set up at Ayr Esplanade with film crews pictured at Queens Terrace car park near the Horizon Hotel.
