BBC documentary to examine Damilola Taylor's fatal stabbing

• Star Wars actor John Boyega has recalled being among the last people to see 10-year-old Damilola Taylor before he was killed in 2000.
• Boyega and his sister Grace walked Damilola part of the way home from Peckham Library shortly before the schoolboy was fatally stabbed.
• Speaking in the BBC documentary Damilola: The Untold Story , Boyega revealed how the tragedy motivated him to pursue his acting dreams at a young age.
• The actor described the fear and shock that gripped his community following the murder, which led to manslaughter convictions for brothers Danny and Ricky Preddie in 2006.
• The documentary, which examines the final 24 hours of Damilola’s life through interviews with family and friends, airs on BBC Two on 5 October at 9pm.
