BBC chairman Samir Shah has formally apologised for the corporation's "error of judgment" concerning the editing of a speech by US President Donald Trump for its Panorama programme.
This apology follows the recent resignations of two senior BBC figures: chief executive of BBC News Deborah Turness and director-general Tim Davie. Both announced their departure on Sunday after concerns were highlighted in Michael Prescott’s report.
