Call the Midwife star Helen George has said that plans are already in place for the hit BBC show’s finale. Following the end of the latest series, the BBC confirmed that the drama will be back for two more series - read more about that here.
Despite the fact that an end date hasn’t been set for Call the Midwife, the 38-year-old actress has revealed that discussions have been had about the show’s conclusion - and it could see characters from the past reunite. Helen said: "We've talked about that, wouldn't it be nice? Like at the end of Titanic, all the characters come and it's just beautiful."
Continuing about a possible reunion in an interview with Radio Times, she added: "Look, you'll have to wait and see. But it'll be nice at some point – maybe at the end of the very, very last series – to get some of the old faces back, for sure." Helen has played Trixie Franklin on the show since it began in 2012.

Call the Midwife chronicles a group of midwives working in the East End of London in the 1950s. During that time, the series has had a long list of iconic cast members, including Miranda Hart, Jenny Agutter and Charlotte Ritchie. In the first three series, Jessica Raine led the cast as Nursing Sister Jenny Lee.
Fans feared that Trixie and Matthew would leave after tying the knot in the last episode of the latest series. It has since been confirmed that stars Helen, Olly Rix, Judy Parfitt and Zephryn Taitte will all be back as Trixie, Matthew, Monica Joan and Cyril for the 13th series.
Filming is due to start in spring on the new series. Helen said that she was delighted that Call the Midwife had been ordered for another two runs, taking the action to 1971 for series 15.
