BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty was absent from her usual spot on Saturday, with a co-star filling in. The broadcaster hosts alongside Charlie Stayt on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
But today, Charlie was joined by Nina Warhurst. The change comes shortly after fans were divided over an interview with shadow culture secretary Lucy Powell, writes The Mirror.
And fans were happy with the change up, with one viewer tweeting: "Lovely to see you this morning," while another wrote: "Morning Nina. Looking beautiful as ever xx." Another wrote: "Always enjoy it when you're presenting, so cheerful and obviously very intelligent. You also look fantastic this morning."
On Friday's show, Naga confronted the shadow culture secretary over a controversial tweet posted by The Labour Party's official Twitter account.
The tweet read: "Do you think adults convicted of sexually assaulting children should go to prison? Rishi Sunak doesn't. Under the Tories, 4,500 adults convicted of sexually assaulting children under 16 served no prison time. Labour will lock up dangerous child abusers."
Naga asked the MP: "Do you believe that Rishi Sunak doesn't think adults convicted of sexually assaulting children should go to prison?"
Lucy replied: "Well look what I do know, Naga, that the figures that we’ve uncovered around those convicted with serious sexual assault are pretty startling."
Naga continued to press the shadow culture secretary on whether she stood by the controversial tweet. And she hit back: "Well, what I stand by is what that graphic is trying to show which is the prime minister of our country is in charge of the criminal justice system of this country and currently that criminal justice system is not working."
And viewers took to social media to talk about the "car crash" interview. One said: "What a mess of an interview."
Another added: "A complete and utter car crash!" A third said: "Not the first time has your style of aggressive journalism and 'interviewing' a political guest this morning made me want to turn off."
However, others disagreed, with one fan writing: "Love nothing more than watching @TVNaga01 getting the point across when the interviewee can’t you’ve made my morning."
Agreeing, one wrote: "Excellent interview this morning with Lucy Powell this morning - polite but firm; had her wriggling like a worm on a hook!"
