BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst left fans in hysterics after she dished the dirt on what she gets up to in the bedroom with her husband.
The morning TV presenter made the cheeky confession on social media – but it’s not what you might think.
Nina, who is married to caterer Ted, waded into a Twitter discussion about partners having a dedicated ‘side’ of the bed.
Giving her opinion on the ‘controversial’ subject, the 42-year-old commented: “When we met we SWORE we would never be so suburban and predictable as to have set sides.
She then added: ‘Now I smack him if he dares to breathe on my side of the super kingsize.”
Nina’s response had her 38,000 Twitter followers in stitches and many were quick to reveal what happens in their own bedrooms.
One fan joked: “My wife and I have always had halves, she has the middle half and I get the outside 2 quarters.”
Another said: “My wife always puts me closest to the door – so murderers or burglars get me first.”
“I don’t even sleep in the same bed as my wife most nights. It’s bliss,” a third wrote.
A fourth chimed in: “We both wanted the same side. I got my choice for the first 3 months then we swapped. That was 48 years and 10 months ago.”
While a fifth added: “When my wife is out of town, I sleep on her side. I tell her it’s because I miss her. Truth is the dog’s bed is next to my side and her snoring is terrible.”
Nina is happily married to 40-year-old Ted, who runs a catering business called Fed by Ted.
On his work Instagram page, it is described as ‘Pop-ups & private catering in Manchester and beyond’.
The couple also share two children called Digby and Michael. While their exact ages are not known, her eldest was born in 2016 and the youngest arrived in 2018.
This was around the time Nina got her big break on BBC Breakfast when she started working as a freelancer.
She filled in for regular hosts when they weren’t available and in October 2020 was appointed BBC Breakfast’s main business presenter succeeding Steph McGovern, who now hosts Steph’s Packed Lunch in Channel 4.
Prior to BBC Breakfast, Nina worked for the Guardian’s regional TV channel presenting the breakfast show on Channel M.
She then joined BBC East Midlands and East Midlands Today presenting regional news in the area.
Nina also did stints at BBC North West before landing a job covering the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil for BBC Sport.
Aside from her presenting work, Nina is an actor and appeared in episodes of Casualty and Heartbeat in the late Nineties.
