BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst has given birth to a daughter, her co-stars have confirmed.
During the first instalment of the morning news programme of the week, anchors Sally Nugent and Jon Kay announced that Nina and her husband Ed Fraser had welcomed their third child.
The happy couple were already parents to two sons, Digby, seven and Michael, five, but have now welcomed a little girl.
"Some very exciting news now about our colleague Nina Warhurst," Sally said before adding: "Who we said goodbye to not very many days ago as she went off on maternity leave.
"She has welcomed a very healthy, beautiful baby girl."
The breakfast news programme went onto share a picture of the new mother and daughter moments after she was welcomed into the world as Jon gushed: "And there she is!"
However, he went on to explain that Nina and her husband Ed are yet to decide on a name for their little girl which was a "work in progress".
Jon went on to say: "Nina has told us the baby's name is a working progress, but the great news is they're all doing well after what Nina says was brilliant care from the team at St Mary's in Manchester," before adding: "Isn't she gorgeous?"
Birkenhead-born Sally continued: "I believe this as well - Nina said she's watching from home, morning, Nina!
"Along with the baby and two beautiful big brothers and she's very grateful for all the gorgeous messages she's had from people at home who are watching too.
"So she wants to pass on her thanks for everything - all the kind words people have said."
"All our love to you and the family, Nina – that is fantastic, we're delighted for you," commented Jon.
Nina confirmed her pregnancy on Mother's Day and went on to work until just days ago.
Taking to social media, she issued a statement and explained that she had been suffering from "intense" symptoms which included migraines and vomiting.
She said: "It's been a funky few months… involving intense migraines, vomiting, morning kebabs, first-time acne, small acts of violence against fruit, afternoon kebabs, tears, spontaneous snoozes, anxiety and more kebabs.
"I am settling in to the middle chunk (emphasis on chunk) and enjoying the wonders of Mother Nature and her tiny kicks and flutters. The boys and the cat have been enjoying their new chair. God willing, Baby Doner-Shish joins the outside world in the summer."
The news anchor was seen throwing herself into the Eurovision coverage at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena before going on maternity leave on June 21.
