BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty has sent a sweet farewell message to a BBC co-star after he announced his exit from the show.

Welsh broadcaster Owain Wyn Evans confirmed last month that he will be departing the staple morning programme next year in order to join BBC Radio 2.

Posting to Twitter, Owain wrote: “Some news. I’m joining BBC Radio 2! From January, I'll be presenting the new Early Breakfast Show live from gorgeous Cardiff, making it the first daily Radio 2 show to be broadcast from Wales.”
