Naga replied: "Enjoy the lie-ins! You'll be missed my friend x." Chris wrote: "Thank you 5 Live. Today is my last day with BBC 5 Live. I've been part of the family for a decade, worked on every show and I've loved every minute.

"Media City has been a brilliant place to work with a truly outstanding cast. The station is in safe hands. 5 Live took me all around the world and trusted me with some of the biggest news and sports stories around. But after 5 years on Breakfast (with two kids) I can no longer answer the 4am alarm.
"I've got some really exciting news to come, but that can wait for now. Big shout out to all of our brilliant listeners for being so engaged and warm towards me. This was genuinely my dream job and I'm proud to have carried the flag. Thanks for having me on the radio. Latch."
Gary replied: "Great work Chris, an outstanding stint. One year working on a breakfast show was enough for me so you deserve a medal. Good luck for what comes next." Chris said: "Always been an absolute treat working with you - on and off air. You’re an effortlessly great broadcaster…total natural and will be brilliant with whatever comes next. We’ll miss you mate."
"Well done mate, all the best. We'll get that round in as soon as you've got some time off your next chapter," said Simon.
