Naga Munchetty has hit back a troll with a quick jibe after she was criticised for her outfit on Thursday's show.
BBC Breakfast host Naga, 47, wore a black satin black shirt dress as she hosted the programme alongside Charlie Stayt.
And while many viewers has plenty of compliments for Naga's outfit, one troll decided to criticise her ensemble on Twitter.
The troll likened her look to a black bin liner as they wrote: "That reminds me @TVNaga01 I must put the black bin bags out today", followed by a wink emoji.
But, Naga, who recently shared her heartache at having to say goodbye to a beloved pet, seemed unbothered by the jibe as she replied with: "That's funny x".
Fans were quick to defend the newsreader in response as one said: "Naga you look gorgeous".
Another added: "She'd still look gorgeous even if she did wear a bin bag!"
While a third urged the troll: "if u have nothing nice 2 say about naga keep ur opinions 2 ur self". [sic]
Naga, who recently clashed with John Kay, has a habit of hitting back at some online trolls with an unflappable manner and tends to come up with the perfect responses.
Earlier this month, Naga hit back at one Twitter users negative review of her work with good grace and humour – leaving her fans claiming TV would be better with 'more like Naga' on our screens.
"Only me who thinks Naga Munchetty is a bit of a w***er?" a cruel tweet shared by one Twitter user on Friday morning read.
Quote-tweeting the scathing insult to her 273,600 followers, Naga sarcastically replied: "Doubt it."
Naga, who was recently left in tears over a listener's tragic story, has previously opened up about the cruel abuse she receives online.
"I’m on telly, I’m in your home, so if you want to criticise me, fine. But I’m not there to be abused. Nobody is there to be abused," she told the Mirror in 2016.
"You don’t abuse someone while they’re doing their job, and you don’t make racist, sexist or bigoted comments.
"If someone says, 'She did a bad job of that interview, I’ve come away and not understood anything', I would go back and re-examine that interview.
"Racist and sexist stuff, I just think, 'You’re an idiot.'"
"I’m not going to go home going, ‘I’m so upset someone’s called me a racist word’, or said I’m a woman, I can’t do a job. They’re idiots. You can’t waste your energy on idiots."
Earlier this month it was reported that Naga received a £110,000 pay rise for her role on BBC Breakfast – but the star is understood to be the 13th highest paid talent at the BBC.
Gary Lineker takes the crown as the highest paid at the corporation, despite him taking a pay cut of £10,000, he is understood to be earning around £1.36m at the Beeb.
