BBC Breakfast hosts were in hysterics after a Scouser's surprise Eurovision admission.
Sally Nugent and Jon Kay fronted today's edition of the news programme. The broadcasters reacted to the Eurovision handover as the song contest officially landed in the city last night.
Representatives from around the world gathered at St George's Hall on Tuesday as Rylan Clark and AJ Odudu presided over the semi final draw. The BBC had reporters stationed around Merseyside to capture the excitement surrounding the event's arrival.

However, it appears not everyone in Liverpool has been caught up in Eurovision fever as one member of the public discovered Liverpool would be the Eurovision host live on air.
She said: "I didn't know, sorry. This is news. I can't laugh properly because I've had too much botox." The broadcasters were in stitches as they reacted to the interview.
Sally said: "I love that." Jon added: "Love it. Breaking news on the streets of Liverpool. How did she miss it? She's not going to miss it in the weeks ahead, that's for sure. Certainly not here, we're here to celebrate the excitement of Eurovision coming our way in May."
