BBC Breakfast halted as 'protestor' crashes pregnant Nina Warhurst's broadcast

Sally Nugent declared 'don't mess' over her co-star as she was faced with a 'protestor' live on BBC Breakfast. The presenter was at the helm of the programme alongside Jon Kay on Tuesday (May 23) when they went live to Nina Warhurst who was out and about for her latest report.

The reporter was delivering her segment live from Salford Quays from an ice cream van as she discussed the latest news about food inflation. Nina told viewers food prices had risen by 17.3% up to March of this year. According to the latest ONS figures, since May of last year, around half of people in the UK have said they are buying less food when they go shopping.

However, before the 42-year-old could continue with her report, a man appeared on the screen and started to shout at her. Nina was unable to continue for a few seconds before she then moved away from the man and carried on from another area nearby.
